International Driving School, located in Rockville, Maryland, has built its driver education curriculum around the state-required 36-hour program, pairing online Zoom-based classroom sessions with in-vehicle instruction to serve new drivers and their families across the region. The school's offerings are designed to align with Maryland learner driver requirements, while licensing and testing authority remains with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA).

A Structured Path Through Maryland Drivers Education

The 36-hour Maryland drivers education program at International Driving School is organized into two distinct components: 30 hours of online classroom instruction delivered through Zoom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training completed in a vehicle alongside a licensed instructor. Scheduled Zoom sessions offer a remote learning format, and students are advised to confirm current class times prior to enrolling. The in-car portion provides direct practice on public roads under instructor supervision.Maryland's MVA sets the licensing and testing requirements that apply to all driver education programs operating in the state. Families seeking details on age requirements, permit procedures, and official rules are directed to consult the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration directly, as those standards are established by the state and may be updated over time.

Behind-the-Wheel Training and Road Test Car Rental

In addition to the standard 36-hour course, International Driving School provides supplemental behind-the-wheel instruction for students who want additional road time before their licensing exam. This option is separate from the school's road test car rental service, which allows students to use a school-owned vehicle at the MVA testing site on the day of their exam.Prospective students considering the road test car rental are encouraged to confirm with the school which services are included, what check-in assistance is provided, and whether additional instruction can be arranged. Meeting times, vehicle logistics, and current fees should be verified directly with the school. Maryland road test preparation services of this kind are distinct from the official examination, which is conducted and administered by the MVA.

Driver Improvement and Safety Programs

International Driving School also provides driver improvement and safety programs aimed at a different segment than new-driver education. These courses are structured for licensed drivers who are fulfilling a state-ordered requirement or seeking a formal review of safe driving practices. As with all programs at the school, availability, format, and enrollment details should be confirmed through the school's website, as schedules and offerings may vary.

Enrollment and Availability

As a Rockville driving school, International Driving School serves new drivers and families throughout the Maryland area. Because class schedules, program details, and availability are subject to change, prospective students and parents are encouraged to visit internationaldrivingmd.com to review current course options and confirm enrollment information before registering. The school's website maintains the most current details on class formats, scheduling, and the road test vehicle rental process.
