GAINESVILLE, Fla., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Branden Pearson has been re-elected to the Heritage Alumni Board of Kappa Phi Epsilon, the alumni governing body of the Christian fraternity’s Alpha Chapter at the University of Florida. Pearson was returned to the board in a vote held August 12 and will serve a two-year term alongside fellow incumbents Jason Garrett and Tomas Gayoso.
The Heritage Alumni Board oversees the Alpha Chapter and manages the fraternity’s affairs in Gainesville, including the chapter property acquired last year.
Pearson has served on the board as Vice Chairman for the past two years. During that time, he chaired the Kappa Phi Epsilon 20th Anniversary Planning Committee, was closely involved in the acquisition of the new chapter house, and supported a fundraising effort that brought in more than $100,000 toward securing the property.
His involvement with the fraternity dates to his years as an undergraduate at the University of Florida, where he served as Involvement Chairman, Assistant Housing Director, and External Vice President. He is a member of Florida Blue Key.
Pearson is a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, where he works on transformation initiatives for clients in the aerospace and defense sector across strategy development, large capital project management, and organization design. He previously served as a State and Local Government Advisory Associate at KPMG. Outside of consulting, he is proud to lead mission trips to Central America to install clean water filters in underserved communities.

Garrett, who lives in Gainesville and owns Baloo’s Donuts and Coffee, served two terms as the fraternity’s treasurer as an undergraduate and sits on both the Heritage Alumni Board and the Kappa Phi House Board. Gayoso, a member of the Alpha Eta pledge class, returns to the board for another term. He served as the External Vice President and Secretary during his undergraduate education and is currently completing a medical degree at Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine.
